After a week of much controversy the rebels assembled at Moorabbin and will be forever known as the MOORABBIN 13. We did not field a full Boxhill side but had to rely on the ever available Marty from Uni and also another 2 who put up their hand to help us out.

It was a valiant team with many stalwarts missing who faced a rampant Endeavour Hills full of youthful enthusiasm and fitness. They ran in 6 tries in the first half and it could have been greater without desperate tackling from several players. Many of the Boxhill players were playing out of their normal positions with Ziggy on the wing after injuries forced players from the field.

Despite many attempts to penetrate the Endeavour Hills defence and several dubious decisions against us Boxhill could not cross the line and the score at half time was 38-0.

In the second half Boxhill forged ahead and pressured E/hills back to their own line but each time saw the Boxhill attempts thwarted. Tenacious tackling from Admiral Pete Collins and several others including Full back Fast Eddy stopped many tries. The second half yielded only 2 tries against us and again this was due to good defence.

While it was disappointing to lose the Moorabbin 13 can hold their heads high and we look forward to seeing more players turning up in a fortnight.
