More Unquenchables hit the bar this week. Sandells dropped in for an ale as did part time players Perkie, Nicco and Ant.

Walshe and Jim both turned up suited. Perhaps an attempt to improve the image of the team.

Contract negotiations have broken down with Wilf so he will now continue to play with the seniors. Apparently Wilf is not impressed with the brand of port we consume at part time.

Rod, of the phantom serious knee injury, was seen limping into the bar this week. Talk of his return is to playing is premature.

Peter Bailey intimated that he may seek a place in the Unquenchables once the grounds soften. Peter has become a real softy now that he is father.

The season is due to start on 5 May. While the fixture is still in draft form we are listed to play Boroondara and Eltham as our first two games. Two years ago Eltham withdrew from the competition 4 hours before the start of their game. Let’s see what happens this year. Bartalk queries why we are listed as playing the first round at Morrabbin when they don’t have a side in the masters. We should be supporting the bars of the participating clubs. At least that is what Burdett thinks and Bartalk agrees. No doubt Jim, our rep at the masters’ meetings will take up the matter.
